(2) For by it the elders obtained a good report. (3) Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (4) By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. (5) By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. (6) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. When someone repents from sin and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, he receives the salvation of God and becomes a new creature. The Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away and all things have become new.” His new relationship with God is characterized by newness of life, the fear of God, righteousness, and obedience to God's Word. He is considered a just man. Noah was a just man in his generation. He was perfect and walked with God. KEY VERSE: DEUTERONOMY 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. The Bible is in your hands for total obedience. God demands our total submission and complete obedience to His Word. He has made this possible on the cross when Jesus died. Jesus died to bring the grace for total, complete, wholesome obedience and full righteousness to man. So, God is demanding complete obedience from man. He instructed to the children of Israel to observe to do all His commandments. Do all, not some. Deuteronomy 4:1-2 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. (9) In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; (10) But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. KEY VERSE: 1PETER 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, or of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; The word ‘gold’ in the above passage and in 1 Peter 3:3 means jewelry. Numbers 31:50-51 We have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD. And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of them, even all wrought jewels. What is jewelry? The Bible uses the word gold or jewelry to denote items of ornamentation or adornment used by both men and women, especially women. They are items of decoration and charming beauty. These include earrings, nose rings, necklace, chains, bracelets, rings. The jewels and other materials used in the manufacturing of jewelry constitute precious stones, metals, etc. Earrings are being made of various sizes, shapes, and materials. They are made from gold, silver, brass, ivory, stones and wood. They are sometimes plain and sometimes adorned with precious stones. (23) And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. (24) Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. KEY VERSE: LUKE 16:18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. In Biblical perspective, when either Christian or non-Christian marriage is done according to the standard of God, it is reorganized by the initiator of marriage, which is God Himself. Thus, Christian values should be taken seriously no matter what comes along in the marriage. God's initial plan for marriage is that the couple is to live together for the rest of their lives and nothing should ever bring separation between the two apart from death. 2/20/2022

(2) He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. (3) He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. KEY VERSE: PSALM 42:2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? In our key verse, the psalmist desired restoration from God. When do you need restoration?
Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. KEY VERSE: 1 PETER 1:15-16 But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. God's holiness and life everlasting is attained through our LORD Jesus Christ. Perfection is a lifestyle that has no error; a life that lives without any blame in life. Holiness is moral perfection that involves getting rid of all unrighteousness and un-holiness. There must be freedom from sin before Heaven because nothing defiled will enter the kingdom of God. Thus, there is need for a perfect or complete obedience to holy living so as to attain the everlasting life. The fruits one bears must be holy so as to attain everlasting life. Someone or a power must make sure you are free from sin or be delivered from sin and that one Person is Jesus Christ. 2/14/2022
