For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Key verse: John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. In the world, men indulge in all forms of fleshly pleasure to satisfy their pride and passions. They worship their belly and money. Worldliness has now taken a seat in the church. Those who come to the church do not have God in focus.
