Jeremiah 15:16 - Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
A spiritual person is given to the Word. He studies it and obeys it. He listens to it because the Word is the delight of his life. The food of the spiritual man is the Word of God. I received a call from someone who said, “Pastor I am hungry. I am very hungry for the Word of God.” May you eat to satisfaction in Jesus name. Blessed are those that hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. Thy Word was found, and I did eat it; Thy Word was in my mouth as honey. That is my pleasure. That is what gives me joy.
I am so happy to find Thy Word, and I rejoice in Thy Word; like someone who has discovered much treasure that he is carrying home. My eyes have opened. It has enlightened me, like electric charge in my life. The delight of Thy Word is so great that I swim in it and lie in it with great joy. That is the joy of a spiritual man telling God, “Don’t take away Thy Word from me, I want to study it, I want to live it, I want to listen to it. He says, speak for Thy servant heareth. It is the delight of my life. It is the joy of my life; in the day, in the night and every moment.” That is the spiritual man. The natural man does not know this. He complains that the message is too long.
Psalm 119:9-11, 17-18 - Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word. Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Keeping it is a pleasure and it is a joy to practice it. What a wonderful thing to enjoy the power of the word, to enjoy the blessing of the word. The spiritual man is always longing for more of the Word of God. Your clothes shall be white. Your heart shall be pure. Your life shall be sanctified by the power of the Word, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
