Isaiah 40: 25-29
Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
It is said that the earth spins at an incredible speed of 490,000 miles (about 800,000 km) an hour. Even at this break-neck speed, our galaxy still needs 200million years to make one rotation. There are over one billion other galaxies just like ours in the universe. Some scientists say the number of stars in creation is equal to all grains of sand on all the beaches of the world.
Yet this complex sea of spinning stars functions with remarkable order and efficiency. The universe is astonishingly grand. Right now, the moon is spinning around us at nearly 2,300 miles an hour. Our Earth is spinning around the sun at 66,000 miles an hour. Our sun is one of 200 billion other stars and trillions more planets in our galaxy, and that galaxy is just one of 100 billion others hurtling through space.
Astounding! In comparison to this vast cosmos, our little earth is no bigger than a pebble, and our individual lives no greater than a grain of sand. According to Scripture, the God of the galaxies attends to each microscopic one of us in intimate detail. He saw us before we existed. He watches us as we go about our days and listens for our every thought.
It can be hard to believe this sometimes. This tiny “pebble” has big problems like war and famine, and we often question God's care in times of personal suffering.
When King David wrote Psalm 139 he was in the midst of crisis himself. Also, when Jesus said God counts each hair on our heads, He was living in an age of crucifixion. Now imagine this God living inside you and making His power available to you.
This means you have capacity and capability to deal with every situation of life, no matter how tough.
Joshua decreed the unthinkable and it came to be: “Let the sun stand still over Gibeon, and the moon over the valley of Aijalon.” The God of the cosmos cares for us intimately. The One who keeps the galaxies spinning knows us intimately. He will always help us get through the worst of times.

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised…
