TEXT: PSALM 100:1-5
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
KEY VERSE: PSALM 92:1
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High.
Come before the Lord with thanksgiving. Render praises unto His name. Give testimony of His love, power and goodness. Sing happily before Him and in the congregation of His saints. Sing aloud to Him and let those that serve not the Lord hear His praise and be drawn to Him.
God is great. He is good and merciful. Great are the deeds of His loving-kindness unto us. We see His goodness manifested in our lives and in others, in our nation, and in the world. Our duty is to thank Him. We are commanded by the scripture to be thankful, to live in the spirit of thanksgiving before the Lord.
God loves the praises of His people. He created all things for His praise. The angels sing His praises and worship Him. Praising God is our duty on earth. Praise Him for His love and power. Praise Him for His good works. Praise Him because He made us. Praise Him because he created you for His praise. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Our thanksgiving and praises can flow to God in songs. We should sing happily, wholeheartedly, and inspiringly, to show forth the glory of God. Let your whole being sing and let those that hear you be moved by His praises. Learn to praise God daily. He deserves your praises and thanksgiving. Have you praised Him today? If everything that has breath praises the Lord, then what about you?
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thought for the day: Cultivate the attitude of praise and thanksgiving to God.
Song for the day: Thank you Jesus, thank you my Lord.
Bible reading for the day: 1 Kings 12-13; Luke 24:36-53
