Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness and the end everlasting life.
Besides the essential knowledge of the holy life of a Christian it is good to understand the manner and process of becoming holy before God. Holiness of life is a life that has overcome sin through the saving power of Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
It is a life that does not commit sin.
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Getting this experience requires four things:
1.Know that apart from holiness, there is no alternative lifestyle for heaven.
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
2. Be sure that you have given your life to Christ.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
3. Desire earnestly to attain this life of holiness. Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
4. You enter holiness of life by heart purity or sanctification. This is a second definite Christian experience AFTER salvation or born again experience, by which your heart is purified from inbred sin, adamic nature and inward corruption; thereby giving you the power and inner freedom required to better express full righteousness and holy life in Christ Jesus (both inwardly and outwardly).
John 17:17 Sanctify them through Thy truth: thy word is truth.
Ephesians 5:26-27; That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
5. Persist by faith and prayer before God for this experience of sanctification.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
