TEXT: ACTS 4:26-28
1 Corinthians 4:1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
We should be stewards of the mysteries of God. This means the mysteries of God should be at our fingertips. We should be the ones distributing it for we cannot afford to be ignorant of the word.
The world may not know what is happening, but we should.
They should come to us to seek knowledge and truth. We should be able to interpret scriptures to them and tell them the things that are happening or are about to happen. They have no understanding, they don't know what the signs represent, but we should be able to give correct interpretation to all that is happening in the world or that is about to happen according to the revelation in the word of God.
That was what Peter did in the day of Pentecost. The people heard but did not understand, they saw but could not perceive.
They were looking at them in amazement speaking in tongues. So, they concluded that they must be filled with wine.
Peter said, no, this is that which is spoken by Joel the prophet. May you have the wisdom of Christ to be able to marry the happenings you are seeing in the world with the word of God.
In today's Bible reading, we see how those who crucified Jesus were fulfilling prophecies, yet they did not know. They were fulfilling prophecies that were not less than one thousand years old, something that was scripted and placed in their hands.
They read the scriptures daily but could not link it to what they were doing and carrying out to their eternal doom. I pray you will not be among those that would come and spread the news that rapture has taken place.
The Bible is in your hand; the saints are gone but you are left behind even though you have the revelation of the word in your hand. That is the greatest tragedy that can befall a believer. I am praying that today every scale in your eyes will fall and the revelation of God's word about rapture and heaven will be made clear to you. Amen.
Thought for the day:
It takes diligent study and prayerfulness to unravel the mystery of God.
Song for the day:
Deeper, deeper, in the love of Jesus….
