Galatians 3:9 "So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham"
From our reading text you can see that the Lord chose Abraham, who was barren and had no children. I am tracing the origin of Christianity.
The Lord said, (paraphrase), “Don't worry about your wife, I am bringing you up to be a great nation, the mighty shall come of you, through you shall be born one, who will be a blessing to all the people in the world.”
God made a promise to Abraham, “Jesus will be coming through you, which is the seed I promise in the garden. I (God) told the devil in the garden he is coming to destroy him and free mankind from him. I will pass that child through you.”
Now, you can see that Christianity started in the garden of Eden. It was following a lineage which was gradually unfolding. When God promised Abraham, I am going to give you a seed and by that seed multitude shall come to the world, Ishmael was already born.
There are many religions on the earth created by men in an attempt to reach out to God. Christianity has been existing side by side with these other religions. In a family, there could be a mix of Muslim and Christian faith. There could also be people of other religions including the traditional religions. All of them profess that, “We are serving the same God.”
It is my responsibility as a preacher of Christ, sent to preach the gospel of. salvation, the gospel of righteousness and eternal life, to tell you the truth and the difference.
Christianity unlike other religions started by a promise God made to the devil, so it is distinct from other religion.
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed, it shall bruise thin head and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15.
This is where Christianity started from, at the very beginning, even between Adam and his wife Eve; the promise was there that their shall be Christianity.
