(Int'l Director Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide) DATE: FRIDAY, JULY 5 2019 TEXT: MALACHI 3: 6-11 KEY VERSE: Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. The believer needs to pay tithes as commanded by God. The payment of tithes has been an old practice of mankind in the course of righteousness. I believe the payment of tithes must have dated back to early history of man before the destruction of the world by water. BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA

(Int'l Director Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide) DATE: SATURDAY JUNE 1, 2019 TEXT: Isaiah 1:21-23 KEY VERSE: Deuteronomy 16:19 "Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous." A man came to the pastor and said “My dog has just died; please could you conduct a burial ceremony for him?” BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA
(Int'l Director Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide) DATE: SUNDAY MAY 26, 2019 TEXT: MALACHI 1:6-8 KEY VERSE: Deuteronomy 15:21 "And if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God." In today's reading text, God is saying if you serve me under a man - as you are serving me through your service don't do it with lethargic spirit as your work will be discarded. Let us repent and come back to a gracious life of serving God in a dignified manner like angels. You might have been in service for a long time but God will not respect your many years of service when you are after personal gain for every activity you render in the church. Example of this was a believer, after interpreting for a missionary that came to town, asked" what will you pay me?” God is saying if you serve Him for personal gain and not out of love or as a matter of honour, He has no pleasure in you. If that be the case of your service, should the Lord now look for new sets of people to do His work? Is the church to acquire new members while the ones already in the church have now lost the vision? Should He leave you and look for people that will be consumed with passion for their God? Please wake up and return with the former zeal. Whatever you are given to do, do it zealously. BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA
(Int'l Director of Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide) DATE: THURSDAY MAY 23, 2019 TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 4:1-2 KEY VERSE: Matthew 13:23. "But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty." The money in your hands belongs to God. It must not be given to support His enemies. Not every minister on the pulpit is true for there are many false ministers. Not every church belongs to God. If you give your tithe and offering to them, you have no reward because you are strengthening the hands of the enemy against the Kingdom of God. How do you know the true ministers you are to support? (Int'l Director of Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide) DATE: MONDAY MAY 13, 2019 TEXT: MALACHI 1:13-14 KEY VERSE: “Leviticus 22:20; But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you." God is holy. The Bible says without holiness we cannot see Him. True worshippers of God are to do so in absolute holiness and this includes bringing gifts to His altar in tithe, offering and special donations. The money and material gifts brought to God as offering must not be the following: 1. Money from stolen property. 2. Gains from lies and deceit. 3. Gains from treachery and human oppression. 4.Proceeds of embezzlement, robbery, fraud or harlotry. Such money is dirty in the sight of God and an abomination to Him. To bring such money to God either in tithe or offering is to attempt to make God an accomplice of your evil deeds, which is impossible. A holy God cannot be a partaker of evil. DATE: WEDNESDAY MAY 8, 2019 TEXT: Luke 5:4-7 KEY VERSE: Psalm 32:8 "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." In the reading text for today, Peter and his brethren followed the normal principles of fishing, toiling all night without catching anything. However, when he submitted to divine guidance from the Lord, they caught a great multitude of fishes and filled their ship and their neighbour's to their amazement. If believers will submit themselves to the guidance of God as to where to pay their tithes and which ministry to support financially at a given time, and not be limited by the tradition of paying tithes only to the local church where they worship, there will certainly be great harvest of souls, much gospel progress and bountiful rewards. But much money and resources are wasted today because of tradition. How many of these churches use these resources and money for Jesus? How many invest them on evangelism and on the works of righteousness? Rather, they use them to lay treasure on the earth where moth and rust corrupt and where men break through and steal. 5/3/2019 Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide: WHY PAYMENT OF TITHE IS STILL MANDATORY IN THE NEW TESTAMENTBy: Pastor Paul Rika / Int'l Director
TEXT: Hebrews 7:1-10 KEY VERSE: Matthew 23:23, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone." Payment of tithe is not limited to the Old Testament time; it is still mandatory for the New Testament believer. In our reading text for today, the scripture reveals that Abraham's children yet in his loins paid tithes along with him to Melchizedek. The scripture says "Melchizedek who receiveth tithes liveth". Abraham was promised children by God. These children of Abraham paid tithes in Abraham's time. Since we are children of Abraham by faith, we too should pay tithes in this dispensation of grace because he who receiveth tithes from Abraham liveth. Galatians 3:7, 29, “7. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 29. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” God declared Jesus Christ as a Priest after the order of Melchizedek. Jesus Christ liveth and receiveth tithes from the children of Abraham by faith, which children we are. Hence, we must pay tithes to Him, through His representatives on earth. Matthew 23:23, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. |
