Psalm 105:15 - Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
Physically, these people were following Moses about in the wilderness, but they were not in the Spirit with him. They told Moses, “You say you are bringing us to a land flowing with milk and honey. Where is the flow now in this wilderness? Was it to the wilderness they were going or to the land of Canaan? Everybody here can see that we are in a barren place. Everybody knows that you have told us lies. Contrary to your claim, you brought us out of Egypt which is actually the land flowing with milk and honey.” Now, was it Moses that made the promise to the Israelites or God?
Don’t see leadership after the bodily stature, charisma, intelligence, academic qualifications, or abilities of a man. Don’t see leadership that way. God doesn’t operate that way. Eliab with an impressive stature was brought before Him, but he said “No, I have refused him.” Korah recruited the mighty men and nobles of Israel to gang up against Moses but see how destitute they are of God. You thought that this man will accomplish the task, not knowing that the man you were putting your eye on will let God down because he has nothing inside him. Let the choice be of God and submit to the choice that God gives you. It is then the work will prosper.
Numbers 16:15 - And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.
Moses was saying, “I have not cheated any one of them, I have never hurt these people, I have never maltreated these people, I have never done any evil against them, but see them saying that I brought them to magnify myself as king over them.” I thought that you should be seeing love, so you are seeing evil? I thought that you should be very happy, so you are angry?
Moses was shocked by their behavior. He prayed to God, not to respect their offering. He was very wrought. Be careful not to wrongly accuse those that God has placed over you. You will not be guiltless.
