Ezekiel 38:23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD
On 8th of December, 2017 (within 48 hours after President Trump pronounced Jerusalem as capital of Israel), ISIS and other terrorist groups took up their weapons to fight Israel and destroy the Jews. Suddenly, God released a pillar of cloud from heaven that surrounded the border of Israel with Jordan thus preventing them from gaining entry into the land.
The surrounding Arab nations and terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah etc. have been displaying their missiles and boasting. Hezbollah said, “If Israel makes one mistake, we will wipe out Tel Aviv, we will raze it down and reduce it to rubles.” They had piled up thousands upon thousands of missiles.
So, when they couldn't enter Israel by land because of the pillar of cloud, they started shooting missiles. To their greatest surprise, the missiles were being diverted from Israel by an unseen hand. They began to lament, “God is fighting for Israel,” and that was very true.
This wonderful development has brought great joy to the church but the truth is that we should be crying instead of celebrating. Why? As God's attention is turning to Israel, He is turning away from the church because God does not run two programmes at the same time. Israel's chapter was closed before Jesus went to the cross. That was why He told the Jews, “Your house is left unto you desolate.”
He closed their chapter, then opened the chapter of the church and the church spread to the gentile world because He had said, “Other sheep I have, which are not of this fold, they also I must bring and they will hear My voice and there shall be one fold and one Shepherd.”
When Jesus said, “Other sheep I have,” He was talking about you and I. He was saying, “apart from you Israel, I have other people that will serve Me, since you rejected Me, your house is left unto you desolate, I will go to these other people.” Since Jesus came to you, how have you been dealing with Him?
Have you been pleasing His heart or hurting and grieving Him? He is coming soon for His church; are you ready for Him? He has promised to preserve the serious ones. Are you in the number or you are still there slumbering, grumbling, murmuring and foot-dragging?
Thought for the day:
The Lord is your strength. Keep faith with Him.
Song for the day:
Who can battle with the Lord (x3) … I say nobody.
Bible reading for the day:
Psalm 96-98; Romans 12
