Exodus 23:2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
(Continued from yesterday)
3. Do Not Support a Person Whom You Know Is Sinning Against God. Do not support a person whom you know is sinning against God, against man, against an institution or against a church. If you do, you are a partaker of his sin. You know this man is sinning, you know he has backslidden, you know he is in this mess because he is not on God’s side or the side of truth and you still want to join him? Then, you will also partake of the judgment that man is going to face. You want to stand by a man that will be punished by God? It means you don’t understand righteousness. You just want to destroy yourself?
4. Take Time to Examine the Person or The Issue Before You Take Sides or Action. Don’t act suddenly. Take time to study the matter and examine the issue. Don’t mind that he is your brother or that she is your sister. Don’t mind that it is happening to your father or mother; your husband or wife. Study the matter well because all these relationships are earthly. Your real Father is the one in heaven who either gives you eternal life or sends you to hell. Be careful not to offend Him. Stand on His side. Therefore, study that matter very well before you take any position. The position you will take should be the one God leads you to.
5. Keep Thyself Pure. Be diligent to keep yourself pure. If your brother is falling and you want to help him up, the bible says you must be careful so that you don’t fall with him. In the airplane, in the event of an emergency that warrants you wearing the oxygen mask, you put on your own first before helping another. So, be careful to ensure your own Christian life is unstained. Remain in your position of safety. If you want to help somebody out of a pit, make sure you are standing well on solid ground so that you don’t fall into the pit yourself. Before you render help, be careful so that you don’t slip into sin. Be careful not to join somebody in a polluted case and get your name removed from the book of life.
Thought for the day:
Don’t render help to the detriment of your soul.
Song for the day:
Purity, purity is what I long for, purity is what I need….
Bible reading for the day:
Psalm 4-6; Acts 16:16-40
