2 Peter 3:17-18
Hebrews 3:14 - For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.
You are not seeing the vision of heaven. That is why you are not giving due attention to things that have great eternal value as such you do not set your priorities right. That is the problem with many people. Don’t you know that when you set your priorities right, you give honor to God? By doing so, you make God happy with you because that sweetens His heart. Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s. God is infinitely higher than Caesar.
This is the time of God and you don’t know how to give to Him? You don’t know how to please your Creator? How will you not be black inside? Because you are not the one preaching you say the meeting is too long. It is when you are preaching that you feel involved, but when you are not preaching, you are not involved. Change that! It is better at this time, to receive than to give when it involves the matter of eternal life. If you give and gather for others but don’t have anything for yourself, you have profited nothing.
As a coordinator, you go to your chapter meeting and play a DVD message for people to watch, but you will not sit down to learn with them. Do you know that listening to messages in the chapter, unit, or zone with other people gives better understanding and impact? Do you know that the prayers that were made before the message starts would water the ground, bind the devil, and usher in the presence of God there? But you don’t sit down with your chapter or unit members to listen to those messages. You slide in the DVD and leave. That is why you are black in your heart. As a result of this, God who knows that you are not serious doesn’t bother with you.
“Go to the ants, thou sluggard. Go and learn their ways and be wise.” They have neither guide nor overseer but do what will keep them living. But you, because nobody is there to monitor or supervise your activities, you decide to do as you like? You come to church when you like and sit wherever you desire, giving the flesh its own ease? Be warned! Care for your spirit and your soul.
Thought for the day:
Love what is eternal and give less attention to things of temporal value.
Song for the day:
Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and other things…
Bible reading for the day:
Isaiah 1-3; Galatians 2
