2 Timothy 3:10-14
Philippians 4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Apostle Paul lived an exemplary life in Christian ministry. In today's key verse, we see Paul boldly commending his lifestyle as a Christian leader to his followers. 1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
He was not ashamed to say this because his conscience bore him witness that he lived a life that was 100% pleasing to God and worthy of emulation.
His conscience bore him witness that there was no secret sin or anything that could bring reproach to the name of the Lord in his life. Act 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
As Paul was following Christ wholeheartedly, he was dragging people along with him. It means if you too can take the lead in your Christian life, others will follow.
Paul's life became a standard measure of good behavior and godliness. Philippians 4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Paul was saying, “I have demonstrated my life before you, those things you have seen and learned, follow them; they will take you to heaven.
If you continue in them, you will see God's presence in your life and ministry. You will see God performing and doing wonders in your life and ministry. You will see people's lives change through your ministry. You will see divine blessings flow to you.” 2 Timothy 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.
In this scripture, God is telling Timothy that even though you may not understand everything, just follow because you know the lifestyle of those people. You can see the sincerity and truth in them. Just follow. 1 Th 2:10 Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe.
As this scripture is saying, “You have already seen our life as we led by example; you know our lifestyle, our fervency, our truth, the doctrine we taught. Submit yourself to them and they will profit your soul.”
Paul's standard of life is worthy of emulation by every true believer. A life that sets good example for others and draws them to Christ. Make this the testimony of your life.
