 EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) FRIDAY JANUARY 31, 2025 Text: 1 John 5: 10-13 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Key Verse: I came forth from the Father, and Am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. John 16: 28 Many people misunderstand this term, or the description given to Jesus as, “The Son of God.” Some reject Him because of this title. The Islamic religion in particular contends against this title saying, “God cannot have a Son.” This has been an obstacle on the way of many, because without believing this eternal truth, they cannot be saved. Even among the Christians, many are still confused about this tittle. When the title; “Son of God” is used with respect to Jesus, it does not imply the same meaning as children born by human parents or born from sexual union between a man and a woman. This title specifically refers to one born, not by the will of man, but by the Will of God. (1) It is used for anyone who believes in Jesus Christ. John 1:12-13, they were NOT born through copulation or sexual union between a man and a woman. Rather, they were people God fashioned and brought out for Himself through the Holy Spirit. Therefore, everyone that believes in Christ is an adopted son of God. “Adopted” means, your father was not originally God, but when you believed in Christ, God by His mercy, adopted you as His son  EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) THURSDAY JANUARY 30, 2025 Text: Mark 6:7, 8, 12, 13 7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; 8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse: 9 But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats. 10 And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. 11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. 12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent. 13 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them. Key Verse: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father. John 14:12 Anointing oil not mentioned or used by Jesus: All through Jesus' ministry, He did not use anointing oil, whether for healing or for ministry. He chose His disciples after much prayer and consecrated them to divine service, without anointing them with oil. He did not use oil in any one of the many instances of healing and deliverance performed by Him. He never taught His disciples on the use of oil; neither did He instruct them to use oil when praying for the sick. Jesus assured His disciples that through faith in His name, they could do whatever He had done in His earthly ministry and much more. This means, as Jesus healed the sick, cast out devils, did all kinds of miracles, appointed and consecrated people for the ministry, etc, without the use of anointing oil, those who believe on Him can do the same.  EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) WEDNESDAY JANUARY 29, 2025 Text: Luke 10:33,34 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, 34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. Key Verse: Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 2 Corinthians 2:1 The use of anointing oil is in great prominence in the Christianity of our generation. We shall examine its place in Christianity, according to the record of the Scripture. We will examine two main uses of oil in the Scripture. (a) Oil, A healing balm in common use in Palestine: Oil was used as a balm because of its soothing and healing property. It relieves pains, protects wounds from bacterial infection, and relaxes the joints. The oil served as a first aid medicine, not only to the Israelites, but to the surrounding nations. Because of its importance, people often carried it about and it would often be in the traveler's bag. Isaiah 1:6 “From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrefying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.”  EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) TUESDAY JANUARY 28, 2025 Text: Acts 4:36-37 36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, 37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet. Key Verse: Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 God is so faithful. I have risen from a position of nobody to serve where I am now. I have been a very naughty sinner before I repented. Somehow, I went to school. God had prepared Pastor Paul Rika to lead me to Christ. I didn't know about this until two years ago. We met for the first time as classmates at MGSS, Takum. Those of us who were living unchristian lives at that time thought that they who were living godly lives were the uncivilized ones. We parted ways after our secondary school, and met when I was Commissioner for Agriculture in Jalingo. Even when I was living in sin, I still believed that I should be serving God. So, when I remember God's servants, I get attracted to them. It was my passion to serve the Lord that brought me across several pastors. It is in this process that I have met commercial pastors, political pastors, etc. I have met pastors that will ask for money to pray for you. During my litigation after senatorial election, a pastor asked me to give him money so that he will talk to God to give me judgment in court. 1/27/2025
Do Not Change The Truth Of God To A Lie EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) MONDAY JANUARY 27, 2025 Text: Revelation 21: 8 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Key Verse: Who changed the truth of God into a lie. Romans 1:25a The natural hair given by God to every race is in Scripture. Those who perm or Jerry-curl their hair, change the truth of God into a lie. They are liars before God and man, because they are lying against the true nature of their hair. God hates lies and shall condemn liars to hell fire. The Bible reveals that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, and we are bought with a price and so, should glorify God in our body. We are warned against grieving the Holy Spirit, by Whom we are sealed till the day of redemption. Since perming and Jerry-curling tamper with God's natural and good handiwork in the body for sinful pleasure, they constitute defilement to it. The Bible warns us against defiling our body, the temple of the Holy Spirit for they that do so, shall be destroyed by God. By nature, all races are made equal before God, for all are the children of Adam. He knew from the beginning that there would be various races on earth, and what their places of habitation, skin colour and hair nature would be. Those who change their hair to that of another race, are accusing God of inequality and partiality in creation. They are accusing God of making them inferior to others or not giving them the right kind of hair. To accuse the all-wise God is to suffer His displeasure. Some men perm and Jerry-curl too yet, claim to be Christians or even ministers. Such are in error and darkness and have gone astray from the path of righteousness. If they do not repent, they shall perish.  EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) SUNDAY JANUARY 26, 2025 Text: Revelation 2:4-5 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. Key Verse: Are ye so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the f lesh? Galatians 3:3 Remember Jesus. The Ephesians church had this problem, and the Lord told them to repent of that type of life; serving God without being conscious of Him, without knowing Him, but doing the work like a robot. Whom are you working for? Why don't you know Him? Why don't you set Him before you? “Put Me in remembrance…” Again, the church in Pergamos had this problem too. They had allowed false teachers to pollute the members.  EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) SATURDAY JANUARY 25, 2025 Text: Genesis 1:20-31 20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. 24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Key Verse: And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Genesis 1:31 You may ask, “How did man discover medicine? How did traditional medicine evolve? How did they know that combining this leaf with that leaf will cure a particular sickness?” Get the answer from (Isaiah 28:26), "For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him." You may also ask how Doctors learned to operate upon men and discover somethings and rectify them? “How do they know the functions of the various parts of human body such that they can draw and labeled it?” How is it that in the villages, there are people that know how to cure sicknesses? "For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him." The God who made this life knows the need of this life, hence, He reveals solutions to people's problems, instructs people, tells them and demonstrates how it can be handled. This can happen in a dream, by seeing somebody performing such. Sometimes, it may be a voice, and sometimes, just instinct. The mind may be able to imagine some things and just see the reality of those things. As they say, "I am going to work it out and see." To their surprise, it works. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. 6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. Key Verse: For his God doth instruct him to discretion, [and] doth teach him Isaiah 28-26 The Bible says that it is not good that a man be without knowledge and that in the later time knowledge will increase, (Proverbs 19:2, Daniel 12:4). Without knowledge, there would have been no advancement in human society. Always refer to the scripture and know the language and the Spirit of the scripture, to enjoy the fullness of God. Medicine exists purely and separately from satanism. Although, Satan often takes advantage of this to introduce his vices to humanity and lead man to bondage. God created water for our good; river and streams for our use. Someone may decide to sit by the river and enjoy nature, but Satan has made many to be afraid of water spirits. This is the work and deception of Satan. Satan has laid claim to the body of water, by showing man that his kingdom is inside the water. God created water for man not Satan, so, you can go to any body of water and do that which is natural and needful. You will not be hurt.  EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) THURSDAY JANUARY 23, 2025 Text: Psalm 119: 9-11 9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Key Verse: But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 To maintain the Christian life and be successful in ministry, the Christian minister needs to feed on the word of God daily, as she feeds on food to maintain her physical body. The minister must never cease reading the scriptures and inspired writing by anointed Christian writers. She takes in sufficient spiritual nourishment that will sustain her Christian life and enrich her with the Christian message. She should not be denominationally bounded but be open to God to use His anointed servant from wherever He chooses, to bless her life. 1 Timothy 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 1/22/2025
Love Your Enemies As A Christian Duty EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) WEDNESDAY JANUARY 22, 2025 Text: Matthew 5:43-44 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Key Verse: Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Romans 12:9 Who is an enemy? He is an unfriendly person, somebody who hates and seeks to harm or cause trouble for somebody else. Our Lord and Savior commands, “Love your enemies.” An enemy is someone who fights against another person in combat or battle. He is a hostile person who has a plan or purpose to hurt or harm you. As true children of God, we are commanded to love all our enemies in spite of their evil activities against us. The context of the passage in our text, defines and describes the enemies who we are to love. The enemies “curse”, they “hate”, “despise” and “persecute” us. They are “evil” and “unjust” in their dealings with us. They do not love us, neither will they even “salute” or “greet” us. Yet our Lord has commanded that His true disciples reflect His love at all times and in all situations. Whatever our enemies say or do against us, true believers must respond with love. That is what makes a difference between you and people of the world. 1/21/2025
Have Burden For The Perishing Souls EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) TUESDAY JANUARY 21, 2025 Text: Romans 9:1-3 1I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, 2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. 3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: Key Verse: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6: 23 The judgment of God is surely coming upon sinners. When you see your relations, and know that this particular relation of mine shall be damned in hell forever and ever; that, this my father shall be damned in hell; this my mother shall be damned in hell; this my goodly neighbour shall be damned in hell; you look round and consider that judgment is surely coming upon the sinners, because of the wickedness and evil of their way, there must be concern in your heart. 1/20/2025
The Church's Concern For The Unmarried EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) MONDAY JANUARY 20, 2025 Text: Acts 20:27-3127 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. 28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. Key Verse: Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2 The church is concerned for those who are of age and are not married. Why have you been unmarried for too long? It is our concern, and I believe God also is concerned for you not having married till this time. When we know that believers are mature to marry but are not married yet, we get disturbed and ask God, “When will it be?” “What do we do about it?” This is the cry of our hearts to God for you. What are your difficulties? We cannot take it over from you but want you to face God and get it solved. It may be beyond our power to handle as men. Your case is in God's hand. Our prayer for you is, “God, when will you do it for your child? Please do something, else you may lose some of your children. intervene else some of your precious children will be overtaken by the devil in immorality, masturbation, lust, pornography, and fornication.”  EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) SUNDAY JANUARY 19, 2025 Text: Psalm 107:17-2117 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. 18 Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death. 19 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. 20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. 21 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Key Verse: Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it; except the Lord keep t he city the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalms 127:1 Finda prayed for me but in the morning of 15th February I went into death crisis. All efforts made on me failed. Finda shouted and called family and friends to help me, but I was restless. She knew that I was dying as a sinner and wanted to lead me to Christ. She asked me to pray after her, but I could not. I started seeing fearful demons. I cried, “Oh! They have come for me. I am dying.” I took one last deep breath, and I gave up the ghost. Death will just come like this? Please don't hold to any sin in your life. Now that you are privileged to have strength and can pray and fast, don't allow any sin to remain in your life. Confess it and ask for grace for there is no time. Key Verse: But Thou Lord, art most high for evermore. Psalms 92:8 The Lord took me to hell, not to face final judgment but to reveal mysteries and warn humanity. I want to declare what I saw, heard and experienced in hell. I was a sinner. I fell short of the glory of God. I was into fornication, lying, stealing, anger, smoking, drinking alcohol, naked dressing, parties, clubbing, etc… I permed my hair, used weave-on and attachments. I bleached my skin and tattooed my body. I have done all these things, but the Lord Jesus gave me one more chance and grace, not only for myself but also for you. Key Verse: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians. 3:16 The New Testament also emphasizes the fact that God's word must dwell in your heart richly in all wisdom. The leaders must study to show themselves approved unto God. Do you believe in Christ? Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom. Are you a follower of Jesus Christ? Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom. It takes effort, labour and commitment for the word of God to dwell in you richly in all wisdom. Key Verse: But He answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 The food of the soul is the word of God. Man shall live on every word that comes out of the mouth of God. Man can survive and be sustained by every word that comes out of the mouth of God. As one eats the physical food to live, grow, be healthy and active, so must the word of God be studied and meditated upon regularly for the Christian life to be established and to grow, be strong and active. God commands all who serve Him to meditate on His word regularly in order to maintain sound relationship with Him. God's children must mediate regularly on His word. 1/15/2025
The Nature Of God EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) WEDNESDAY JANUARY 15, 2025 Text: Psalm 90: 1 – 2 1Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Key Verse: Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11: 3 Here we know something about God. He is the Lord, the Master, the Ruler of Heaven and Earth, the Master of creation, the final authority in creation, the Lord Almighty. God is the Creator. To know God in the true sense, we must accept His self-revelation as contained in the scripture; otherwise, we will continue to fumble in darkness. The following need to be borne in mind while we seek to know our God in His full nature. Key Verse: Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:3 As testified by Brother Michael Sambo: “When our father in the Lord, Pastor Paul Rika wrote down my encounters in a book, 'Divine Revelation Of God's Holiness And Judgment' with scriptural explanations, it was widely read and made impact in the lives of people. Great persecution arose in Deeper Life concerning the book; but HOREMOW had not yet started. I visited my younger brother in Zaria in January 2009. While there, I decided to seek God in prayers for the next step to be taken, because the instruction was that the book should be burnt and the circulation of the message stopped. I was determined to keep praying until I received answer from the Lord. I locked up myself in the room, praying, listening to taped messages and studying the Bible. One morning, I came out to an open field and was before God in prayers for solution to this matter. The Lord gave me assurance in a spectacular way that He had answered my prayer. 1/13/2025
The Sin In Dyeing Of The Hair EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY: PASTOR PAUL RIKA, INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) MONDAY JANUARY 13, 2025 Text: Isaiah 46:4 4 And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. Key Verse: Neither shall thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. Matthew 5:36 The hair on the head is a source of temptation to many Christians. Self- display for beauty and glory, may suggest tempering with the natural condition of the hair. Many dye their hair to give it the color and appearance they desire. Some do so to cover the grey or white hair on their head in order to conceal their old age. Those who do this desire to look young all the time. The believer must overcome the temptation of changing the truth of God into a lie. We must not lie against the truth. The believer must maintain a pure and undefiled heart before God. To apply dye to the hair for hair beauty and attraction is evil and indicates an impure heart. The holy Christians tremble at God's word. Only God can make hair white or black. Through the use of cosmetics or dye, people are changing the above scripture in our key verse. But the scripture cannot be broken. Those who attempt to do so will fall by it. If there is dandruff or skin disease on the head, this can be treated appropriately. Isaiah 34:16 16 Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. Key Verse: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 2 Peter 1:20 Some people think that when the Bible says, “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new,” this means that they should not bother about the damage they have caused to people in the past, or about the money they borrowed ten years ago, or about the lies they have told which have had damaging effects on people's lives. You can see here clearly that they are very wrong. We must compare scripture with scripture. You do not just take one portion of the scripture and run with it; it has its own mates. “Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate.” |
